Schools Out Revolution 5.27.09

We are celebrating that school is out! (or at least for some of you) May 27 Wed. at SBC from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. We will be playing wild and crazy games outside. We will get wet, dirty and gross, so dress appropriately. You may want to bring a towel for when it is all done and a change of clothes. We want to celebrate that school is out! Hope to see you then, bring a friend! FREE This event is for Middle School Students and High School Students.

Hey we are excited about revolution TONIGHT! This is going to be at SBC from 6:30 – 8 p.m. TONIGHT. We will be playing games, eating food and be challenged by a special speaker. This is for Middle School and Sr. High students and we would love for you to bring your friends. This event is completely free. Just come and hangout with your friends. Sr. High Ski Trip Mar. 6-8

This is our annual Ski Trip to Granite Peaks in Wausau, WI. We are leaving at 1 p.m. on Friday from Saylorville Baptist Church. We will return to Iowa about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night. $20 reserves your spot and then you pay the remaining money later. There are spots for 25 students. You must turn in your $20 to reserve your spot. Make sure you have all of your parent forms signed for the trip. This is for Sr. High Students. The cost will be $55 to ski or $55 to snowboard. This includes rental and lift tickets. You will also need money for 5 meals. We will be staying at a church on Friday night with a gym and on Saturday we will be staying at 2 different houses.Check out the Granite Peaks website here. Planet Wisdom Student Conf. 12.05.08

Sign up to go to the Planet Wisdom Conference on Dec. 5-6, 2008. This is a huge teen conference with students from all over the Midwest. This event is held in St. Paul MN and is for Sr. high Students. You will have a ton of fun and be super challenged at the same time. The conference is filled with music, skits, concert, Biblical teaching and great fellowship. The cost is $40 per student and you will need money for 4 meals. We will be staying at a church in the area on Friday night. Please make the checks out to SBC. We will be leaving church at 1 p.m. on Friday afternoon and returning to SBC at 10:30 p.m. on Sat. night. If you have any more questions feel free to call 515.289.2395 and ask for Abe. Church has been canceled this evening due to a power outage caused by wind. There will be no youth or middle school events.

Sr. High Wintermeltdown 2.20.09

The Wintermeltdown Retreat Feb. 20-22 at IRBC is for Sr. High students . This retreat is a great time to get away, have a ton of fun and be super challenged. The cost is $50 per person and this covers the whole weekend. We will be leaving SBC at 4 p.m. on Friday Feb. 20. We will be back to SBC on Sunday Feb. 22 at 2:30 p.m. or so. You will need to bring gym clothes, sleeping bag, pillow, Bible, pen, warm clothes, toilitries, towel, camera, etc. You can download the Wintermeltdown parental consent form here.
